Texas Coding Studies — Grade 5
Comprehensive Course Syllabus
Course Overview
Our Texas Grade 5 Coding Studies course introduces students to advanced block-based programming and beginner text-based programming. The curriculum develops computational thinking, programming logic, problem-solving, and digital creativity through exciting projects, games, animations, websites, and introductory Python programming.
Students gain hands-on experience with Scratch, Blockly, Code.org, Python, HTML, CSS, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics while preparing for middle school computer science.
