Course Overview
Our Texas Grade 1 Olympiad Studies course is designed to develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and analytical skills beyond the regular school curriculum. The program is inspired by leading national and international Olympiad examinations in Mathematics, Science, English, Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge.
Students strengthen their academic foundation through engaging puzzles, brain teasers, higher-order thinking questions, interactive activities, and weekly practice sessions while building confidence for future competitive examinations.
Logical Reasoning
Pattern Recognition
Students identify number, shape, picture, and letter patterns to improve logical thinking, observation, and prediction skills.
Classification & Odd One Out
Students compare objects, identify similarities and differences, and select the item that does not belong to a group.
Coding & Decoding
Students solve simple symbol and picture-based coding puzzles that develop reasoning and analytical thinking.
Direction Sense
Students learn concepts such as left, right, up, down, near, far, and simple map directions through fun activities.
Visual Reasoning
Students solve picture-based reasoning questions to strengthen observation, concentration, and visual thinking skills.
Sequencing Events
Students arrange story pictures and daily activities in the correct order. Sequencing builds the step-by-step thinking used in reasoning questions.
Mathematics Olympiad
Advanced Number Sense
Students strengthen number concepts through counting, place value, number comparison, ordering, and challenging number puzzles.
Mental Mathematics
Students improve speed and accuracy in addition, subtraction, skip counting, and basic calculations without relying heavily on written work.
Mathematical Reasoning
Students solve age-appropriate reasoning questions that require logical thinking rather than simple calculations.
Word Problems
Students learn strategies to analyze real-life mathematical situations and choose the correct method to solve them.
Number Puzzles & Magic Squares
Students solve number mazes, missing-number grids, and simple magic squares. Puzzle formats make arithmetic practice exciting and competitive.
Geometry & Shape Questions
Students answer Olympiad-style questions about 2D and 3D shapes, sides, and corners. They count and compare shapes hidden inside figures.
Science Olympiad
Living Things
Students explore plants, animals, humans, and their basic needs through observation and inquiry-based learning.
Earth & Environment
Students learn about weather, seasons, water, natural resources, and caring for the environment through engaging activities.
Matter & Energy
Students investigate solids, liquids, gases, light, sound, and simple forces using hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
Scientific Thinking
Students develop curiosity by asking questions, making observations, predicting outcomes, and drawing simple conclusions.
The Human Body & Senses
Students learn about main body parts and the five senses. They answer picture-based questions about how we see, hear, smell, taste, and touch.
Space & Sky
Students explore the sun, moon, and stars and the difference between day and night. Simple sky-watching facts prepare them for space questions in Olympiads.
English Olympiad
Vocabulary Building
Students improve their vocabulary through synonyms, antonyms, compound words, picture words, and word games.
Grammar Skills
Students strengthen grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns, articles, and punctuation through Olympiad-style questions.
Reading Comprehension
Students read short passages and answer questions that test understanding, sequencing, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
Language Reasoning
Students solve language puzzles, sentence arrangement activities, and word-based reasoning exercises.
Spelling & Phonics Challenges
Students practice letter sounds, blends, and common spelling patterns through fun challenges. Strong phonics helps them decode new Olympiad words.
