Comprehensive Course Syllabus
Course Overview
Our California Grade 4 Hindi course is designed as an age-appropriate Hindi language enrichment program for students who want to develop stronger skills in Hindi reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, comprehension, creative expression, and cultural awareness.
The course builds on foundational Hindi skills and gradually introduces longer reading passages, more detailed writing, expanded grammar concepts, richer vocabulary, conversation practice, and Hindi literature.
Hindi Reading & Fluency
Advanced Hindi Word Reading
Students practice reading longer and more complex Hindi words accurately while improving pronunciation and recognition of familiar word patterns.
संयुक्त अक्षर & Complex Words
Students strengthen their ability to read commonly used संयुक्त अक्षर and words containing more complex letter combinations.
Reading Sentences & Paragraphs
Students read longer Hindi sentences and paragraphs with appropriate pronunciation, pauses, and understanding.
Reading Fluency & Expression
Students practice reading stories, poems, dialogues, and informational passages with improved speed, accuracy, expression, and confidence.
Reading Comprehension
Students read age-appropriate Hindi passages and identify the main idea, important details, sequence of events, characters, and meanings of unfamiliar words.
Hindi Vocabulary & Language Development
Expanded Everyday Vocabulary
Students develop a broader vocabulary related to school, family, nature, travel, hobbies, emotions, health, food, and everyday experiences.

Students learn commonly used synonyms and antonyms and practice selecting appropriate words according to sentence meaning.

Students are introduced to common Hindi expressions in which a group of words can be represented by one appropriate word.

Students practice using newly learned vocabulary in meaningful sentences, descriptions, conversations, and short written passages.

संज्ञा & Its Types
Students review संज्ञा and explore common categories such as व्यक्ति, स्थान, वस्तु, and other naming words through practical examples.

Students identify and correctly use different types of commonly used pronouns to make Hindi sentences clearer and less repetitive.
क्रिया & Verb Forms
Students identify क्रिया words and practice using appropriate verb forms to describe actions and events.
विशेषण & Description
Students use descriptive words to provide more information about people, animals, objects, places, and experiences.
लिंग, वचन & Agreement
Students practice correct masculine and feminine forms and singular and plural forms while using appropriate words in complete sentences.
काल & Verb Usage
Students strengthen their understanding of present, past, and future forms and use appropriate verbs according to the time of an event.
Sentence Formation
Students construct longer and more meaningful sentences using correct word order, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation.

Paragraph Writing
Students write organized paragraphs on familiar topics using a clear opening, supporting details, connected ideas, and an appropriate conclusion.
Picture Composition
Students observe pictures and develop connected sentences and paragraphs describing people, places, actions, and events.
Story Writing
Students create short stories with characters, settings, events, dialogue, descriptions, and logical sequences.
Personal & Descriptive Writing
Students write about personal experiences and describe people, places, objects, events, and activities using appropriate Hindi vocabulary.
Letter & Application Writing
Students practice writing simple informal letters, invitations, notes, and age-appropriate applications using appropriate formats.
Revising & Editing Hindi Writing
Students review their writing for spelling, मात्रा usage, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and clarity before producing a final version.

Students read age-appropriate Hindi stories and develop comprehension through characters, events, vocabulary, and discussion.
Moral & Value-Based Stories
Students explore stories containing meaningful lessons and learn to identify the central message and values presented in them.

Students read, understand, and recite age-appropriate Hindi poems while developing pronunciation, rhythm, vocabulary, and expression.
