Comprehensive Course Syllabus
Course Overview
Our California Grade 2 Hindi course is designed as an age-appropriate Hindi language program for children developing stronger skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural understanding.
The curriculum builds on foundational Hindi skills and helps students read longer passages, write organized sentences and short paragraphs, expand vocabulary, understand basic grammar, communicate in everyday situations, and enjoy Hindi stories, poems, and cultural content.
Hindi Reading & Word Recognition
स्वर और व्यंजन पुनरावृत्ति
Students review Hindi vowels and consonants and strengthen their ability to recognize, pronounce, read, and write commonly used letters.
मात्राओं का अभ्यास
Students review and apply common मात्राएँ while reading and writing increasingly complex Hindi words.
संयुक्त अक्षरों का परिचय
Students receive an age-appropriate introduction to commonly encountered संयुक्त अक्षर and practice recognizing them in familiar words.
शब्द पढ़ने का अभ्यास
Students read familiar and unfamiliar words by combining अक्षर, ध्वनियों, and मात्राओं while developing accuracy and confidence.
वाक्य पढ़ना
Students read short Hindi sentences with appropriate pauses and begin developing smoother reading fluency.
Hindi Vocabulary & Comprehension

Students expand their vocabulary related to family members, relationships, home activities, and everyday conversations.

Students learn Hindi vocabulary related to school, classroom activities, neighborhood places, transportation, and their surroundings.

Students read age-appropriate Hindi stories with familiar vocabulary and gradually increasing sentence complexity.

Students identify characters, settings, important events, and other key details in stories.
कहानी का क्रम
Students arrange events in the correct order and retell stories using beginning, middle, and ending structures.
कहानी से सीख
Students identify simple lessons, values, messages, and ideas presented through age-appropriate Hindi stories.
कविता और बाल साहित्य
Students read and enjoy age-appropriate Hindi poems, rhymes, and short literary passages while developing vocabulary and expression.
Hindi Writing Skills
शब्द और वाक्य लेखन
Students practice writing correctly spelled Hindi words and complete sentences with appropriate spacing and मात्रा usage.

Students observe pictures and write sentences describing people, objects, places, actions, and events.
अनुच्छेद लेखन
Students learn to write short, connected paragraphs about familiar topics such as family, school, hobbies, seasons, animals, and daily life.

Students write a few connected sentences about personal experiences, celebrations, activities, favorite things, and memorable events.
रचनात्मक लेखन
Students create simple stories, descriptions, dialogues, and imaginative pieces using their own ideas and vocabulary.
Hindi Grammar & Sentence Building
संज्ञा
Students identify and use naming words for people, places, animals, objects, and things in simple sentences.
सर्वनाम
Students practice using common pronouns such as मैं, हम, तुम, आप, वह, यह, वे, ये to avoid unnecessary repetition in sentences.
क्रिया
Students identify action words and use appropriate verbs to describe activities and events.
विशेषण
Students learn how describing words are used to tell more about people, animals, objects, and places.
लिंग
Students strengthen their understanding of पुल्लिंग और स्त्रीलिंग and practice using appropriate forms in familiar sentences.
वचन
Students distinguish between एकवचन और बहुवचन and practice changing and using words appropriately in sentences.

Students receive an age-appropriate introduction to describing actions in the past, present, and future.

Students explore familiar aspects of Indian food, clothing, family traditions, celebrations, music, and everyday cultural practices.

Students use poems, role-play, dialogues, and short performances to develop pronunciation, expression, confidence, and conversational Hindi.
