Comprehensive Course Syllabus
Course Overview
Our California Grade 1 Hindi course is designed as an age-appropriate Hindi language program for children developing foundational skills in Hindi listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural understanding.
The curriculum helps students build confidence in using Hindi through अक्षर पहचान, phonics, vocabulary, simple sentences, stories, poems, conversations, and everyday communication.
Hindi Letters & Sounds
स्वर पहचान
Students learn to recognize and pronounce basic Hindi vowels (स्वर) such as अ, आ, इ, ई, उ, ऊ, ए, ऐ, ओ, औ through pictures, words, and pronunciation activities.
व्यंजन पहचान
Students learn to recognize and pronounce common Hindi consonants (व्यंजन) and associate each letter with familiar words and objects.
अक्षर और ध्वनि संबंध
Students practice connecting Hindi letters with their corresponding sounds and identify the beginning sounds of familiar Hindi words.
अक्षर लेखन
Students practice writing Hindi vowels and consonants using correct shapes, strokes, spacing, and direction.
मात्राएँ & Word Formation
मात्राओं का परिचय
Students learn how मात्रा signs change the sound of consonants and begin using common मात्राएँ to read and write simple words.
सरल मात्रा वाले शब्द
Students practice reading and writing words using common vowel signs such as ा, ि, ी, ु, ू, े, ै, ो, ौ.
अक्षरों से शब्द बनाना
Students combine letters and मात्रा signs to form simple Hindi words and develop confidence in decoding unfamiliar words.
शब्द पढ़ना और लिखना
Students practice reading and writing age-appropriate words related to family, school, animals, food, colors, nature, and everyday objects.
Hindi Vocabulary
परिवार और घर
Students learn Hindi vocabulary related to family members, rooms, household objects, and common activities at home.
स्कूल और कक्षा
Students learn words related to school, classroom objects, teachers, classmates, subjects, and common classroom activities.
रंग, आकार और संख्याएँ
Students learn Hindi names for common colors, shapes, and numbers and practice using them in simple sentences.
पशु-पक्षी और प्रकृति
Students learn vocabulary related to common animals, birds, plants, trees, weather, and natural surroundings.
शरीर के अंग और दैनिक क्रियाएँ
Students learn common Hindi words for body parts and everyday actions such as खाना, पीना, सोना, खेलना, पढ़ना, and लिखना.
Reading & Comprehension
सरल शब्द और वाक्य पढ़ना
Students develop reading fluency by practicing familiar words and short, meaningful Hindi sentences.
चित्र देखकर पढ़ना
Students use pictures and visual clues to understand and read simple Hindi words and sentences.
छोटी कहानियाँ
Students read or listen to short, age-appropriate Hindi stories and identify characters, important events, and basic story details.
प्रश्न और उत्तर
Students answer simple questions about stories, pictures, and short passages using appropriate Hindi words and sentences.
कहानी का क्रम
Students learn to identify the beginning, middle, and end of a simple story and retell events in the correct sequence.
Hindi Writing Skills
शब्द लेखन
Students practice writing familiar Hindi words with correct letter formation, मात्रा usage, spacing, and spelling.
सरल वाक्य लेखन
Students learn to construct and write short Hindi sentences using familiar vocabulary and basic sentence patterns.
चित्र वर्णन
Students observe a picture and write or complete simple sentences describing people, objects, actions, or places.
अनुभव आधारित लेखन
Students write a few simple sentences about familiar experiences such as their family, school, favorite food, hobbies, festivals, or daily activities.
Hindi Grammar & Sentence Building
संज्ञा का परिचय
Students learn to identify naming words (संज्ञा) for people, animals, places, and objects through simple examples.
सर्वनाम का परिचय
Students are introduced to common pronouns such as मैं, हम, तुम, आप, वह, यह, वे and practice using them in simple sentences.
क्रिया शब्द
Students identify common action words and use simple verbs to describe everyday activities.
लिंग का परिचय
Students receive an age-appropriate introduction to पुल्लिंग और स्त्रीलिंग through familiar people, animals, and objects.
वचन का परिचय
Students learn the basic difference between एकवचन और बहुवचन and practice identifying singular and plural words.
सरल वाक्य रचना
Students learn basic Hindi sentence patterns and practice arranging words in a meaningful order to communicate simple ideas.
Listening, Speaking & Hindi Culture
दैनिक बातचीत
Students practice common Hindi expressions used in everyday situations, including greetings, introductions, requests, questions, and polite responses.
सुनना और समझना
Students listen to simple Hindi instructions, conversations, stories, and descriptions and demonstrate understanding through responses and activities.
कविता और बालगीत
Students learn age-appropriate Hindi poems, rhymes, and बालगीत to develop pronunciation, rhythm, vocabulary, and enjoyment of the language.
बोलकर विचार व्यक्त करना
Students practice speaking about themselves, their family, school, interests, likes, dislikes, and everyday experiences using simple Hindi sentences.
भारतीय त्योहार और संस्कृति
Students explore age-appropriate Hindi stories, traditions, festivals, foods, celebrations, and cultural practices to develop familiarity with Hindi-speaking culture.
